Cycle Show 2011 Trade Day

The Cycle Show provides a rare chance to network with members from the Cycle Tech UK Network, introduced to trade contacts and to a new business venture. Also visit the major brands and bike companies. 
There was a very good turn out of 30 mobile bicycle mechanics, corporate business man and parts suppliers.  Cycle Tech UK members find this a great way to start there new bike business with all the help, advice and opening of trade accounts. And off course a chance to meet me!

Network At The Cycle Show Trade Day

The Cycle Show provides a rare chance to network with colleagues from the Cycle Tech and CycleFix.net members. Also visit the major brands and bike companies.

For those interested in joining our growing Cycle Tech Network, or existing mobile mechanics looking at expanding there business.

There are new corporate opportunities, starting in November.  New business venture with 2 multiple cycle operators. To have discussions in person at the show, with the business men who will provide more specific info.

· For one: servicing is a very reasonable fixed price, done on site and would typically mean between 4 and 10 cycles at any one time – delivering scale economies. The expectation is 10,000 bikes by 2015.

· For the other: approved, authorised repairer status with preferential pricing on parts – providing a competitive advantage vs other repair shops. The expectation is 100,000 bikes by 2015

There are opportunities across the UK. London being the main key cycle city. Additionally there are opportunities linked directly to the 2012 Olympics and the opening of the £8m, 37 mile Jubilee Greenway Network.
Cycle Tech is looking to recruit new members, experienced bicycle mechanics and anyone looking for a change, to start there own bike business. Full help and support given.  

Our members are receiving many enquires from out of there working areas and have no one to pass the work to, have good feed back that this is a great idea, positive press coverage, fuel prices going up and wages not!  Can only be a good thing for the mobile bike mechanic.
